July 29, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Migaju' House project, located in Eel River Bar First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The project will include the construction of a 933m2 building, four temporary residences (73.7m2 each), an outdoor play area, a native plant garden, parking, and two walking trails in a previously undeveloped area, with a building footprint totalling over 1,300 m2 and total project area of approximately 0.9 ha.

Activities include the construction of a new road, lateral connections (water and wastewater/sewer), site preparation (clearing, grubbing and regarding) and construction of buildings.
