July 14, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada and CMHC has determined that the proposed Multi-Unit Construction Project – Buctouche First Nation is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects

This determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

• technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

• Impacts to the Land and Water
• Impacts to Air and Noise
• Impacts to Flora and Fauna
• Impacts to Socio-Economic, Culture and Heritage

Please note that there were no comments received during the 30 day public comment period.

Indigenous Services Canada and CMHC is satisfied that that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Therefore, Indigenous Services Canada and CMHC may carry out the project, exercise any power, perform any duty or function, or provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.
