Installation of underground infrastructure at the intersection of Des Braves Avenue and Rene-Levesque West Boulevard
July 9, 2025 – Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC) and the National Battlefields Commission (NBC) must determine whether the proposed project of Installation of underground infrastructure at the intersection of Des Braves Avenue and Rene-Levesque West Boulevard, located in Quebec City is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, HICC and the NBC are inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. . All comments received will be considered public. The Proposed Project
Project Title: Installation of underground infrastructure at the intersection of Des Braves Avenue and Rene-Levesque West Boulevard
Summary of the Project: Installation of underground infrastructure (Hydro Québec and Énergir) at the intersection of Des Braves Avenue and Rene-Levesque West Boulevard as part of the TramCité project. The urban environment in question consists of a street, a green bench with trees, and a sidewalk. The infrastructure to be installed is mainly underground with no impact on the surface of the street, the planting bench, or the sidewalk. Only one access manhole will be present on the surface of the sidewalk (cast iron cover).
