1121393 - 0861 - SubD(13RUP) CPFN Janvier - Phase 2 – Public Comments Invited

June 19, 2025 – Indigneous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed 1121393 - 0861 - SubD(13RUP) CPFN Janvier - Phase 2 project , located in Janvier is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigneous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The project involves extending the existing gas main on the Janvier Indigenous Reserve to serve Phase 2 of the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation subdivision. This will include installing approximately 500 meters of 88mm polyethylene (PE) main along the north side of the road, connecting to the stub left from Phase 1. Additionally, a single branch line will be installed to provide gas service to 7 houses on the south side of the road.
