Multi-Unit Construction Project - Buctouche First Nation – Public Comments Invited
June 12, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada and the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Cooperation (CMHC) must determine whether the proposed Multi-Unit Construction Project – Buctouche First Nation project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada and CMHC is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The project will include the construction of a multi-unit residential building (944sqft per unit, 4-5 units), for a total project footprint of 1.2 acres on undeveloped lands. Additional construction activities include site clearing and grubbing, installation of a septic tank, water distribution lines, culverts, driveway construction and final landscaping.
