The Proposed Project
The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to undertake perimeter fence improvements at the Bedford Rifle Range property. Project activities are expected to consist of removal and disposal of existing damaged fence, installation of new fence Type A and Type F including new gates, vegetation clearing and construction of a 1 m wide access path on the public side of the fence and a 4 m wide access path on the DND side of the fence to allow fence maintenance and security patrols. The new fence will be installed within the footprint of the existing damaged fence. The proposed work is expected to begin Fall 2025.
