Notice of intent to make a determination
Skownan New Child and Family Services Prevention Building– Public Comments InvitedJune 3, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Skownan New Child and Family Services Prevention Building, located in Skownan First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project |
Project is proposed to encompass acquisition and placement of pre-fabricated (modular) buildings for all four capital assets at a 414 sq m fenced site; CFS office, heated garage, and two 1580 sq ft, 4-bedroom temporary housing units. Water and wastewater servicing requirements will be met through the installation of decentralized water and septic holding tanks. Hydro service hooks up will be to an existing main line. Project will also include parking lot with electrical to support parking stalls.
