New Telus Communications Inc. Telecommunication Tower Project on Skeetchestn Reserve - Public Comments Invited

2025-05-30 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by 2025-06-30 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Telus Communications Inc. is proposing the installation of a new guyed radiocommunication antenna tower, 102 meters in height as a new telecommunications facility, located on Skeetchestn Reserve, B.C. The tower will include six (6) initial (8 ft.) antennas that will provide cellular, and data services in the area. This system will operate in the UHF, AWS, PCS, BRS and cellular bands. This new tower may have periodic antenna additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunication service.
