Notice of intent to make a determination
Pelican Lake First Nation Subdivision – Public Comments Invited
May 8, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Pelican Lake First Nation Subdivision project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
Pelican Lake First Nation is proposing to construct a new subdivision to meet the needs of the community. The new subdivision will have 30 lots and will cover an area of approximately 9.39 hectares. Site preparation activities will include vegetation clearing, topsoil stripping, and grading. Construction activities will include installation and tie in of sewer, water, natural gas, power and telecommunication services, building roads/driveways, installation of street lighting, construction of walking paths, replacement of topsoil, and planting of trees.
