May 5, 2025 – Transport Canada has determined that the proposed project - Kingston Yacht Club, Floating Breakwater - St. Lawrence Rive - is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

• input from provincial authorities and conservation authority;
• technically and economically feasible mitigation measures;
• impacts on rights of Indigenous peoples; and,
• comments received from the public.

Therefore, Transport Canada may exercise any power, perform any duty or function to be carried out in whole or in part.
