The Proposed Project

A project is required to replace exterior water valves supplying the building. There is a total of six exterior water shutoff valves to be replaced. These six valves supply the domestic water and fire protection to the building. Three of the valves are known to be presently not working. One of the valves is located within a valve chamber which has been classified as a confined space. Appropriate certification will be required to review this valve. The other five valves are located below ground.

All work that may disrupt the building operations must be completed after hours including any shut down of potable water. Potable water testing will be required; testing requirements to be confirmed with BGIS Environmental and must meet or exceed all applicable codes and standards.

Work will include removal of soil to reach the valves below ground.
