PUBLIC COMMENTS INVITED
March 4th, 2025– Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed project, located in Cap-aux-Meules harbor is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The project components include dredging works with a volume of approximately 55,000 m³ over an area of about 68,700 m² to ensure the safe passage of the ferry and commercial vessels within the limits of the Port of Cap-aux-Meules. The dredging of the harbor and channel aims to achieve a depth of -6.5 m at chart zero in the harbor and -7.5 m in the channel.
