The Proposed Project
Westbow Construction Group is proposing an expansion of the Cedarbrook Housing Development on the Skway Indian Reserve No. 5 (Shxwhá:y Village) in Chilliwack, BC. The development will consist of a six-story apartment block that will provide approximately 84 apartment units. The project footprint is approximately 3, 530 m2 and is situated in an area dominated by young deciduous trees with minimal coarse woody debris or leaf litter. The project is intended to supply housing for families in the Chilliwack area.
The proponent has applied to Environment and Climate Change Canada for a Species at Risk Act permit under section 73(3).
