Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations – Public Comments Invited

February 6, 2025 – The authority must determine whether the proposed Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations, located in Ottawa, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Assess the capacities and limitations of the building's electrical systems, and design and Install electrical vehicle charging stations (selection, supply and installation of EVSEs themselves is not part of this scope). This project will help support the objectives of the government's greening strategy to transition the vehicle fleet to plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles. PSPC's Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy was developed to identify actions to reduce GHG emissions from its fleet and facilities by 40%. Charging station metering to be included. The awarded consultant to provide the design development plans and specs, class estimates, construction administration, commissioning, and close-out documentation for Base Building (BB) Electric Vehicle Charging Systems installation in existing buildings and facilities.
