The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project to replace sections of underground steam condensate main piping located at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) 5 Wing Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. Project activities are expected to include excavation, removal and disposal of existing condensate piping, installation of new condensate piping and reinstatement of affected areas.

One section of proposed piping is located adjacent to Loring Drive between Harvard Street and Tornado Way, and the other section is along Canuck Road near buildings 44 and 242. Additionally, the work includes the replacement of an existing steam fired fan coil unit serving building 354.
