Eskasoni Criminal Justice Centre – Public Comments Invited
February 3, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Eskasoni Criminal Justice Centre, located in Eskasoni First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The project will include the construction of a 1347m2 building, including a 690m2 parking lot for a total project footprint of approximately 2037m2. Construction activities will include clearing and grubbing of the project site, construction of the building, paving of the parking lot area and lateral connections into community services (water and wastewater).
