Saskatoon Airport Solar -  1MW Project - Public Comments Invited

03/02/2025 - The Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) must determine whether the proposed 1MW solar project located at the northeastern side of airport lands, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. 

To help inform this determination, the Saskatoon Airport Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

This project involves the design build of a 1MW ground mounted solar facility on airport lands. Site preparation activities will include geo-technical studies, surveys, and environmental studies.

The Saskatoon Airport Authority is responsible for the management, operation and development of the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport and as such, is the lead authority on this project.

Environmental description includes greenfield surrounded by industrial/commercial land.
