City of Pitt Meadows/Katzie First Nation Stormwater Outfall – Public comments invited
January 27, 2025 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed City of Pitt Meadows/Katzie First Nation Stormwater Outfall, located at the south foot Bonson Road at River Road in Pitt Meadows and the Katzie Reserve No. 1 is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination and a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website. In addition, your contact information may be shared with third parties, e.g., the tenant, other relevant agencies, to help respond to your questions and inform possible mitigations.

The proposed amendment
Pacific Land Group on behalf of Katzie First Nation is requesting an extension to the approved project permit PER 21-183, to install a stormwater outfall at the south foot of Bonson Road at River Road, Pitt Meadows, which has an expiry date of April 30, 2025. Work under this permit has not yet begun due to servicing agreement delays.
