The Proposed Project

Grassy Narrows First Nation proposes to upgrade the water and wastewater treatment systems in the community to provide effective treatment, distribution and fire protection by replacing the water treatment plant, water tower, standpipe, raw water intake line, and extend/replace water distribution piping; as well as, construct a new wastewater treatment plant and install two new communal septic systems with the decommissioning of individual septic systems in two residential areas. Decommissioning of aging infrastructure will occur following the commissioning of new systems and facilities.
