Alberta First Responders Radio Communications Systems New Tower Proposals on the Tsuu T'ina Nation No. 145 Reserve - Public Comments Invited
2024-12-12 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
Alberta First Responders Radio Communications Systems is proposing the installation of new radiocommunication towers with antennas, for a communication network for first responders in municipal, provincial and First Nations agencies across the province of Alberta. The proposed tower is 61 meters in height and located on the Tsuu T'ina Nation No. 145 Reserve. The installation will include two 4.1 meter collinear pole antennas operating in the 700-800 MHz band will be mounted at the top the tower. These antennas will be offset horizontally from each other by 4 meters. This system is designed to allow agencies to share talk groups allowing inter-agency communications. This new towers may undergo other periodic antenna additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunication service.
