Bear River First Nation Multi-Purpose Building -- Public Comments Invited

November 22, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Bear River First Nation Multi-Purpose Building project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The project will include the construction of a new community multi-purpose building. This will comprise of a two-level construction with concrete foundation. The building will be serviced by an onsite septic system and an onsite drilled well, as well as a paved parking area from approximately 40 vehicles. Site preparation activities include clearing, grubbing, site grading, and landscaping. The total project area will encompass approximately 0.5 hectares.
