The Proposed Project
Peters First Nation proposes to continue the flood mitigation program that was started in 2018. The current phase of work proposes to implement bank protection works along Peters Island, including a series of spurs and upgrades to the existing side channel flow control structures. The proposed construction window is during the Fraser River low-flow season, typically from November to late March, subject to permitting and water level conditions. Post-construction works will include live staking and habitat compensation.
