Esgenoôpetitj Community and Cultural Centre – Public Comments Invited
October 2, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Esgenoôpetitj Community and Cultural Centre project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The project will include the construction a youth center community building. The project will also include the removal of the existing basketball court, and installation of a new basketball court, a community garden, a parking lot, and installation of a fire circle. Site preparation activities include excavation and site grading. The total project footprint is approximately 1.12 hectares.
