The Proposed Project

Kwadacha Nation is proposing to construct a permanent fire egress route within Fort Ware IR 1.  The road will allow community members to safely and efficiently exit the area in case of an emergency.  The project includes road construction and timber removal over 8 hectares of land.  The estimated volume of timber removal is 2255 m3. The project will commence outside of nesting periods of migratory birds. The timber removal will require a permit under the Indian Timber Regulations.
