Bell MTS Radiocommunication Antenna Addition on York Factory First Nation Reserve No. 304 - Public Comments Invited

 

Jun 18, 2024 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by July 18, 2024 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Bell MTS, a division of Bell Canada, is proposing the addition of a radiocommunication antenna at the top of an existing 37 metre tower located at York Landing, MB on the York Factory First Nation Reserve No. 304. The antenna addition is part of an upgrade to Bell MTS network infrastructure to improve voice communications and increase bandwidth for future service demands. In the future, the existing tower may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.
