Pedestrian Pathway - NRC Uplands campus
A notice of intent was posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry (Registry), under the file number 88478, on April 11, 2024. The public was invited to provide comments on the project until May 11, 2024. The NRC received a comment during the posting on the Registry (see Appendix). The same comment was sent to the NRC on May 9, 2024 and again on May 11, 2024.
The NRC have taken in consideration the public comment for the protection of the wildlife. The mitigation measures for the wildlife is included in the determination.
The NRC has determined that the pedestrian pathway at the NRC Uplands Campus, 1920 Research Private, Ottawa, ON was not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Mitigation measures will be implemented for soil, soil management, fauna (tree protections), flora, accidents and malfunctions.
Therefore, the National Research Council may carry out the project, exercise any power, perform any duty or function, or provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.
