Fisheries and Oceans Canada has determined that the proposed redevelopment of the main entrance to Base de Québec, located at 101 Champlain Boulevard, Quebec, is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. This determination was based on the following factors:

• impacts on the rights of indigenous peoples;
• Indigenous knowledge;
• community knowledge;
• comments received from the public; and
• mitigation measures that are technically and economically feasible.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is satisfied that the Project is unlikely to cause adverse environmental effects. As a result, Fisheries and Oceans Canada can proceed with the project.
