Revision to the Posting for IAA Reference Number 85749 (Canoe Creek). Telus Communications Inc. is Proposing a Revision to their Original  Telecommunication Tower Project in Canoe Creek I.R. No. 1 on Stswecem'c Xget'tem Nation Lands- Public Comments Invited

2024-01-09 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by 2024-02-12 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Telus Communications Inc. is proposing a revision to their original installation (IAA poster reference 85749) of a new self-supporting radiocommunication antenna tower, 33 meters in height as a new telecommunications facility, located on on Stswecem'c Xget'tem Nation lands in Canoe I.R. No. 1, B.C.. The tower will include four (4) initial antennas that will provide cellular, and data services in the area, this system will operate in the Cellular, PCS, AWS and BRS bands. This new tower may have periodic antenna additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunication service.
