The Proposed Project

New Fibre Installation

City West Cable and Telephone Corp. plans to install fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, to all residential homes in the Nak'azdli and Fort St. James region. The project involves the installation of approximately 74.6 km of aerial fiber optic cable from the intersection of N Rd and 4 Mile Garage in the north of the community, to Tebbutt Lake off Stuart Lake Hwy in the south, to the intersection of Sowchea Rd and Heavenor Dr in the west of the community.

The cable is to be attached to existing support structures such as utility/telephone poles that parallel existing roadways. Support structures may require structural improvements to support cable attachments.
