January 9, 2024 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project which includes installation of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) and associated electrical infrastructure upgrades to support the EVSE at multiple locations across the 5th Canadian Division Support Base (CDSB) Gagetown. Level 2 charging stations and level 3 Direct Current (DC) fast chargers will be installed in order to support the Government of Canada net-zero emissions goal.
