Seven Nations Soaring Eagles Healing Centre – Public Comments Invited

November 30, 2023 Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) must determine whether the proposed Seven Nations Soaring Eagles Healing Centre, located in Creston, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

  • The proposed infrastructure for this project includes ~ 711 m2 of new buildings including four 2-bedroom cabins, a workshop, and a main building (~ 444 m2). The main building would be the primary center of activity on site and would include a kitchen, dining area, office space, multi-use spaces, and storage. In addition to the permanent structures, temporary tipi camping areas would also be created on site. The existing dwelling on site will be retained and modified to provide extra lodging for guests and their families. 
  • The proponent has applied for a head lease from Indigenous Services Canada for the land proposed for the project.
