RM of Shellbrook Gravel Permit - Le public est invité à formuler des commentaires

Le 26 July 2023 - Services aux Autochtones Canada doit déterminer si le projet de RM of Shellbrook Gravel Permit, qui sera situé dans les Sturgeon Lake First Nation, est susceptible d'entraîner des effets environnementaux négatifs importants. Afin de contribuer à cette détermination, Services aux Autochtones Canada invite le public à formuler des commentaires à ce sujet.

Le projet proposé

Permit for the removal of 21,000 y3 of gravel over a 3 year period (7000y3 - 2023, 7000y3 - 2024, 7000y3 - 2025) from an existing gravel pit on Sturgeon Lake First Nation land. No new infrastructure or roads are required to access the site and gravel. Surface water is over 500 metres away and no dewatering of the pit is expected. No vegetation, top or subsoil will need to be removed to access the gravel. All health and safety rules will be adhered to. Any spills will be cleaned up to acceptable standards and reported to the appropriate authority. Refueling will be done in a designated area and drip pans will be used to avoid spills and drops into the environment.
