Proposed Project

Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation is proposing to build a new Nursing Station for its community.  The building will act as the primary health facility for the community and replace the current ageing Nursing Station that was built in 1982.  The proposed building will be approximately 1450 m2 plus a 185 m2 garage. The site of the new nursing station will require new infrastructure including sewer, water, and propane for heating.  The site currently has power but the service will need to be upgraded to service the size of the facility.  The site was previously used as a construction lay down area and the majority of site has been cleared and is currently graveled. Wollaston Lake is approximately 300m from the edge of proposed site.
