2023-10-18 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Telus Communications Inc., new radiocommunications tower (AB000853) on Tall Cree Indian Reserve 173-1 approximately 1.8km southwest of Chief Tall Cree High School, Tall Cree 173, Mackenzie County, Alberta  

 Telus Communications Inc. is proposing to erect a new 30m self support radiocommunications tower on Tall Cree Indian Reserve 173, Mackenzie County Alberta.  The purpose of the tower is to provide continuous wireless coverage and added cellular capacity for the surrounding area. The tower will have several LTE Multi-band omni-directional cellular antennas mounted on it that operate in the 600 MHz, 800MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz bands.  The tower may undergo periodic antenna additions, replacements, or other minor modifications.
