Construction of an industrial building on Metepenagiag Urban Reserve No.3, Moncton – Public Comments Invited

October 3, 2023 The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) must determine whether the proposed construction of an industrial building, located on the Metepenagiag Urban Reserve No. 3, Moncton, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the BDC is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Greenfoot Properties Inc. and Greenfoot Energy Solutions Inc. are requesting financing from BDC for the construction of an industrial building located on part of lot 5 of the Metepenagiag Urban Reserve No. 3, City of Moncton. The site is approximately 20,000 m2 in size.

The building will have 4 floors for the office section, and an attached warehouse. Total footprint of the building will be approximately 6,500 m2. It will be used as the principal site of the company, for its offices and the storage of its energy efficient goods.
