The Proposed Project:

The Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band aims to install a living revetment (wall) site along and within 130 m of the Thompson River at the northern end of the Whispering Pines No. 4 Indian Reserve. Flood protection dikes were previously constructed in these areas in 2007 and 2014.

The Project will include the following components:

  • Various site preparation works including vegetation clearing, layout, and machinery operation;
  • Installation of large angular boulders, rip rap, drainage gravel, vegetated crib walls, and vegetated soils wraps;
  • Re-vegetation and associated works.

All project works are taking place on the Whispering Pines No. 4 Indian Reserve Lands.
