Sandy Lake First Nation - Child and Family Services Building
July 25, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Child and Family Services Building Project, located in Sandy Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project
Sandy lake First Nation is proposing a Child and Family Services Building Project. The building will be approximately 1,900 m2 in footprint, serviced with electricity, water/wastewater systems, internet. The site will also include a parking lot, and appropriate drainage ditching.
