Telus Communications Inc., new radiocommunications tower (BC104312) in Kispiox, BC - Public Comments Invited

2023-07-19 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Telus Communications Inc. is proposing to erect a new 30m self-support radiocommunications tower on Kispiox Nation-owned lands in the community of Kispiox, BC.  The purpose of the tower is to provide wireless service including voice and data to the rural residential areas in the community.  The tower will house 12 large panel antennas to support a variety of communication technologies in the cellular bands.  The tower may undergo periodic antenna additions, replacements, or other minor modifications.
