Installation of Emergency Generator - Public Comments Invited

June 8, 2023 – The authority must determine whether the proposed installation of emergency generator, located in Ottawa is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Install a new back up generator and load bank on the roof of 240 Sparks St. to provide emergency power to the tenant's computer room during electrical outages and building shutdowns. The project area is primarily located on the rooftop of the C.D. Howe building. A new fuel tank to be added to the system connected to main tank.
