May 25, 2023 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The Project includes the removal of an abandoned Petrolium, oils and lubricants (POL) line that runs the length of the Project site. It will include excavation, removal of the POL infrastructure and fill. The POL line is approximately 0.5 meters – 1 meter below the ground surface.
