May 8, 2023 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project which includes installation of electric vehicle supply equipment and associated electrical infrastructure upgrades to support the electric vehicle supply equipment. Level 2 charging stations and level 3 fast chargers will be installed in order to support the Government of Canada net-zero emissions goal by replacing the current Department of National Defence light duty fleet of vehicles with zero-emission electric vehicles.
