A Dedicated Space for Connection – Public Comments Invited

April 5th, 2023Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) must determine whether the proposed Dedicated Space for Connection, located in Mill Bay, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Malahat Nation will construct a new cultural space to provide and safe and stable place for women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ peoples to engage in cultural programming that serves them and is community-led. The new space will be approximately 1,800 square feet with a flexible set up.
