Beecher Bay Community Cultural Centre – Public Comments Invited

April 4th, 2023Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) must determine whether the proposed Beecher Bay Community Cultural Centre, located in Sooke, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Beecher Bay First Nation will construct a multi-use cultural centre including a community hall/gym, art wall, cultural gallery, outdoor terrace, and traditional healing room. The new Community Cultural Centre will be located in the new Spirit Bay development, and be around 15,400 sq. ft.
