Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination

February 24, 2023 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The project will consist of the addition (New Build) to Hangar 7 to facilitate personal space for gear/ clothing (locker room), washrooms, work area, and laundry room. The project work will include changes to existing and new service lines underground (sanitary, water/ drainage, electrical ducts). Excavation of area for size of 215 m2 building foundation to be completed.
