MFN Emergency Services Building – Public Comments Invited

August 18, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed MFN Emergency Services Building, located in Miawpukek First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Project activities include removal of an existing storage facility building, relocation of water and sewer lines, realignment of power poles, regrading and lowering of the site, and the construction of a grass training area, paved or gravel parking lot (1133.9m2) and new fire hall building (315m2).
