The Proposed Project

The proposed project is part of the National Trade Corridors Fund (NTCF) financing agreement reached between Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) and Transport Canada. The objective of the project is to improve air cargo and logistics capacity at the YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel site. The scope of the project includes the following work:

  • Rehabilitation and development of the main apron to make it a cargo logistics apron and to increase the D-code aircraft parking capacity from 6 to 13.
  • Construction of 13,000 m2 of warehouses with a loading dock dedicated to air cargo and logistics activities and around 160 parking spaces for workers' vehicles.
  • Roadway development in the Henri-Fabre Street area to optimize the link with the new buildings to be constructed north of the main apron.
  • The demolition of buildings located on the main apron (former fuelling stations (cluster)).

The work will be carried out from the fall of 2023 to the spring of 2028.
