1 Combat Engineer Regiment (CER) Compound Expansion – 3rd Canadian Division Support Base Edmonton

July 22, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

1 Combat Engineer Regiment, located at 3rd Canadian Division Support Base Edmonton, proposes to create an additional parking lot to allow for the storage of engineer equipment and vehicles. The gravel parking area will be directly connected to the current compound, and allow for additional space requirements.
