Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Construction of Distribution Powerline to IPC Canada 8-27-19-8-4

July 11, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Fortis Alberta to construct overhead 25KV 3 phase line to service IPC Canada Site 8-27-19-8-4. Construction is 40m to lease from an existing line and includes 2 poles 20m apart with overhead wire and transformer.
