The project

The project involves replacing the perimeter fence at the Motor Vehicle Test Center (MVTC) in Blainville. This is phase 1 of the project, which consists of replacing the fence on the southern portion of the site and includes the installation of an automated barrier at the entrance to the administrative buildings and the extension of existing culverts at the southeast corner. The area affected by the project is estimated at a maximum of approximately 2650 m2.

The works include:

  • The removal of vegetation where necessary in order to access the fence and proceed with its replacement. It is estimated that approximately 1 m maximum of removal on the edges of the fence will be required, without exceeding the limit of the property of the MVTC;
  • The dismantling of the existing fence;
  • Drilling for the installation of the posts of the new fence;
  • Management of residual materials including the old fence;
  • Excavation and backfilling for the motorized barrier;
  • The extension of the culverts in the southeast sector.
