The Proposed Project

The proposed project works include replacement of the existing gabion retaining walls on the north and south side of the east of the Dixie Road bridge. In their place, new Envirolok retaining walls will be constructed.

Access to the site and completion of project works will require limited vegetation removal, including four trees.

Prior to commencement of project activities, erosion and sediment control measures will be installed.

In-water work at these locations will be limited to installation of cofferdams near the bank to allow adequate dry workspace adjacent to the retaining walls and slope protection. The cofferdams will also protect the watercourse and resident fish species and will protect the work site from flooding. Silt fencing will tie into the cofferdam and continue up the bank along the proposed access route.
